These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Rhoblo Limited (“Rhoblo”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using Rhoblo’s websites, apps, or services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services. Our Privacy Policy at /privacy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of your relationship with us.
2. Definitions
• Customer — a person who browses, orders, or pays for goods through Rhoblo.
• Vendor — a food, grocery, or other merchant partner offering goods on the platform.
• Rider — an individual delivery partner fulfilling customer orders.
• Fleet / Logistic partner — an organization that manages affiliated riders on Rhoblo.
• Order — a Customer request for goods and (where applicable) delivery or pickup.
• Group Cart / Group Order — a shared cart where multiple participants add items and the host pays.
• Wallet — a Rhoblo balance used for credits and/or partner earnings settlements as enabled.
• Service Area — cities and radii where Rhoblo currently operates (including Uyo, Eket, and Ikot Ekpene in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, and any cities we add later).
3. Marketplace role
Rhoblo operates a multi-sided marketplace connecting Customers, Vendors, Riders, and Fleets. Except where we expressly sell as principal, Vendors prepare and supply goods; Riders or Fleets fulfill delivery. Rhoblo is not the manufacturer or primary seller of Vendor goods and does not guarantee continuous availability of any feature, recommendation, map, messaging, or payment channel.
• Consumer Terms (this document) apply primarily to Customers.
• Vendors, Riders, and Fleets are also bound by applicable Partner Terms in Section 20 and any onboarding agreements, declarations, or policies presented in their portals.
4. Eligibility and accounts
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to contract under Nigerian law. By using Rhoblo you represent that this is true.
Registration and security
• Provide accurate and complete registration and profile information.
• Keep login credentials confidential and notify us promptly of unauthorized access.
• One natural person, one Customer account; creating multiple accounts to abuse promos, referrals, or limits is prohibited.
• You may sign in with methods we offer (for example email/password, Google, or Apple) and may be asked to complete multi-factor authentication where enabled.
• Guest use is limited: browsing; joining a Group Order with a display name; or paying via a pay-for-me link. Full guest checkout of a personal cart is not offered unless we expressly enable it.
• You may close your account through in-app settings where available. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach, fraud, or risk.
5. Orders, pricing, and fees
Placing orders
• Orders are subject to Vendor acceptance and stock availability.
• Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira (₦) and may differ by Vendor and change over time; the amounts shown at checkout before payment control for that Order.
• You may order from more than one Vendor in a cart where the product allows. Fulfilment may use one rider or multiple riders depending on the delivery strategy selected or assigned.
• Pickup / walk-in options may be offered. Where you choose pickup, no rider delivery fee applies for that fulfilment path.
Fees that may appear on your bill
• Item subtotal (Vendor prices, which may include platform markup where applied).
• Delivery fee (often distance- or settings-based; peak, rain, or other operational adjustments may apply when configured).
• Service charge and any other fees disclosed at checkout.
• Waiting or no-show related charges if incurred (see Section 8).
6. Payments
Payment is generally due when the Order is placed, except where a supported flow (such as pay-for-me) allows a third party to pay.
• Enabled methods may include card, bank transfer / local bank transfer, OPay, Monnify, wallet (where available for that role or credit use), and pay-for-me. Availability of each method can change and may be toggled by us.
• Cash on delivery is not a standard Order checkout method on Rhoblo. Cash may appear only in limited operational contexts (for example certain waiting-fee settlements) when we enable them.
• Local bank transfer flows may require you to confirm payment (“I’ve paid”) and await verification before fulfilment proceeds.
• By selecting a method you authorize Rhoblo and our payment partners to process the charge. Failed or incomplete payment means we may cancel or withhold the Order.
• Payment processors are independent third parties. Rhoblo is not your bank and does not control processor outages or bank delays.
7. Cancellations and refunds
• You may cancel before the Vendor accepts the Order, subject to in-app rules.
• After acceptance, cancellation depends on Order status, Vendor rules, and our policies.
• Partial refunds may apply if items are unavailable or only part of an Order is fulfilled.
• Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–7 business days to the original method or as wallet credit where the product so provides.
• Promo discounts that exceed applicable fees may result in wallet credit where configured.
• We may cancel Orders that appear fraudulent, abusive, or infeasible to fulfil.
8. Delivery, pickup, and waiting
• Estimated times are approximate and not guaranteed.
• Delivery is available within our Service Area and Vendor delivery radii. Remote or hard-to-reach locations may attract extra charges when disclosed.
• Provide an accurate delivery address, landmark, and reachable phone number.
• We are not liable for delays caused by weather, traffic, Vendor prep time, incorrect addresses, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
• Delivery may require a verification code or other confirmation. Leave-at-door or return paths may apply when enabled.
• For pickup Orders, you must collect within the timeframe communicated; uncollected Orders may be cancelled without refund where fair and disclosed.
• Inspect goods on receipt and report issues promptly (generally within 24 hours) through support or in-app reporting.
9. Waiting fees and no-shows
Where a rider arrives and must wait, or you are unreachable:
• A grace period may apply before waiting fees accrue.
• Waiting fees may be charged at a configured rate up to a cap, depending on service settings.
• No-show or abandoned delivery may trigger return behavior, cancellation, or outstanding balances as configured.
• You are responsible for being available at the delivery point or arranging an authorized recipient.
10. Group ordering
Group Orders let a host share a cart so others can add items before checkout.
• The host must be signed in to create a Group Cart and invite others.
• Joiners may be signed-in users or guests who provide a display name.
• Limits apply (for example up to three Vendors per Group Cart and a lock or expiry window such as about four hours, or earlier if the host locks).
• The host pays the full bill for the Group Order. Any per-member delivery fee shares shown in the UI are informational only and do not create separate payment obligations unless we expressly change that.
• The host is responsible for payment disputes relating to that Group Order.
• When locked, the Group Cart checks out as a normal platform Order under these Terms.
11. Pay-for-me
• A Customer may share a payment link so another person can pay for an Order.
• The payer may complete payment without creating a Rhoblo account, subject to the link’s validity and our anti-fraud checks.
• The payer authorizes charges only for that Order and the amount presented.
• Do not circulate payment links publicly or use them to evade payment rules, nested pay-for-me, or wallet abuse.
• You remain responsible if you share a link and an unintended person pays or the link is misused.
12. Wallets and settlements
Customers
• Customer wallets are primarily for credits such as refunds or promo excess, unless we enable broader debit use at checkout.
• Credits are non-transferable, have no cash value except as we allow redemption on Rhoblo, and may be reversed for error or abuse.
Vendors, riders, and fleets
• Earnings may be credited to role wallets and settled through connected payout channels (for example payment-provider subaccounts or other processors we use).
• Settlement timing, holds, offsets for refunds or chargebacks, and bank-detail accuracy are governed by Partner Terms and payout settings.
• Where manual withdraw has been retired in favour of automatic settlement, the in-product settlement model controls.
13. Promotions, referrals, and rewards
• Promo codes and offers are subject to eligibility, minimum order, expiry, usage caps, and first-order or other rules we publish.
• We may modify, suspend, or revoke promotions (including erroneous ones) and claw back abusive redemptions.
• Referrals, welcome bonuses, achievements, and similar rewards follow the rules shown in-app and may change.
• Verified student or other special programmes apply only while offered and only to eligible verified users.
14. Content, feed, and vendor promotions
Rhoblo may include social or marketing surfaces such as Vendor posts, short-form Bites, comments, reviews, and promotional graphics on Vendor profiles.
• You retain ownership of content you create, but grant Rhoblo a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, moderate, and distribute it on the platform.
• Do not post illegal, harmful, infringing, deceptive, or abusive content. We may moderate, remove, or restrict content and accounts.
• Vendor promotional graphics (for example up to three landscape slots) must reflect genuine, current offers; remove or update them when expired.
• Reviews must be honest and based on real experience. Fake or incentivized deceptive reviews are prohibited.
• Reporting tools and our support channels may be used for takedown requests.
15. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
• Use the service for any illegal purpose or violate applicable laws.
• Provide false or misleading information.
• Harass, abuse, or harm staff, Customers, Vendors, Riders, or Fleets.
• Attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data.
• Place fraudulent Orders or abuse cancellations, refunds, waiting fees, or delivery codes.
• Abuse promos, referrals, Group Orders, or pay-for-me links.
• Scrape, bulk-export, or misuse menus, locations, or personal data.
• Impersonate Rhoblo, Vendors, Riders, or support.
• Use bots or automated systems to access the service except as we expressly allow.
16. Food safety and quality
We work with partners and take complaints seriously, but:
• Food preparation, packaging, labelling, and grocery handling are the Vendor’s responsibility.
• Rhoblo is not liable for food quality, allergens, or dietary suitability. Check Vendor information carefully.
• Inspect Orders on delivery or pickup and report issues promptly (generally within 24 hours).
17. Intellectual property
Rhoblo’s logos, trademarks, software, and platform content are owned by Rhoblo Limited or its licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or exploit them without written permission. Vendor menus, logos, and media remain the Vendor’s (or their licensors’) property, subject to the license needed to operate the marketplace.
18. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law:
• Rhoblo is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free service.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
• Our aggregate liability arising from a specific Order is limited to the amount you paid for that Order.
• We are not responsible for Vendor food quality, independent acts of Riders or Fleets beyond our platform duties, or failures of third-party maps, banks, PSPs, OAuth providers, or messaging channels.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be limited by law.
19. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Rhoblo Limited and its officers, employees, and agents harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of the services, breach of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct.
20. Partner terms (vendors, riders, and fleets)
If you use Rhoblo as a Vendor, Rider, or Fleet, you additionally agree that:
• You will complete required onboarding, documents, and verification, and pay any disclosed onboarding fee.
• You will honour accepted Orders, keep menus, stock, hours, and prices reasonably accurate, and meet applicable food, safety, and licensing rules.
• Platform compensation may include service charges, markup, delivery-fee splits, and other amounts disclosed in your portal—not only a single “commission” label.
• Payouts depend on correct bank or settlement details; you are responsible for taxes on your earnings.
• Riders and Fleets are responsible for vehicles, licences, and insurance required by law; Fleets are responsible for their affiliated riders as agreed with us.
• You will protect Customer data and use it only to fulfil Orders.
• We may suspend partners for quality, fraud, safety, or inactivity. Final settlement follows our payout rules after offsets.
• Detailed commercial schedules in your dashboard or signed agreements prevail if they conflict with this summary.
21. Dispute resolution and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. You agree to contact Rhoblo support first and attempt good-faith resolution before commencing formal proceedings. Mandatory consumer protections under Nigerian law are not excluded. Courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria may hear disputes that cannot be resolved amicably.
22. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on our website and/or apps with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where Nigerian law requires a different consent mechanism.
23. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach, fraud, risk, or inactivity. You may stop using Rhoblo and close your account where the product allows. Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, liability limits, indemnity, and dispute terms) survive termination.
